Designing Imprinted Promotional Pens

Designing Imprinted Promotional Pens

One of the more common types of promotional products is pens. Hand them out to employees, give them out at job fairs, or hand them out at nearly any other promotional event to make your brand and company visible. Essentially, any pen can be printed or engraved with your name or logo, if made small enough. As pens are generally inexpensive to print, they can be created in large quantities and then distributed at many events. But how you represent your company can even be reflected in the type of pens you choose and how your name or logo is displayed on the pen. Even for creating imprinted pens, several options are available.

How a logo or name is displayed on a promotional pen is important. Essentially, two options are available, including engraving or imprinting the pen. Engraving is considered to be the more high-quality option, and many metal or wood-style pens will have an engraved logo. When you want to promote your company and brand at networking events, for example, giving out engraved pens can only make a good impression with your industry peers. Imprinting, on the other hand, is another option, and in this case, your name or logo is printed onto the pen. Although not etched into the surface, it is more permanent than silk screening. Promotional pens that you hand out at job fairs and community events are more ideal for an imprinted name or logo.

What are the options for promotional pens? Pens generally come in plastic or metal options, and these are appropriate for general events, like job fairs, in which you'll be handing out your pens somewhat freely. Higher-quality pens, on the other hand, are generally metal designs or wood-style pens, which have the appearance of wood on the outside but have a metal inside. In terms of design, a straight design with your logo is considered basic, but the body of the pen can be embellished, as well, by foam shapes or an attached lanyard.

However you design your pen, it is one common option used for getting your brand out and seen by the public. Imprinted promotional pens give you room to customize the style of the pen to fit the character of your brand and, ultimately, to display your name in an accessible manner.
