Promotional Gift Pens - A Look at the Cross Stratford Pen

Today I am going back to my writing roots. Back to the days before computers were widely used. Back to my college years when I would write all of my papers with a pen before spending my hard earned money to pay someone to type them for me.

It seems like so long ago that I actually wrote a lot of text with a Cross pen though I sell them on a daily basis.

I write blogs and articles every day, usually on my iPad. This amounts to approximately 2000 word per day. Today I am writing all of my blogs with the new Cross Statford pen. This is my last article of the day and once again I am discovering what makes the Cross brand so popular.

I am finding the budget Stratford gift pen a pleasure to write with! When you write notes and messages daily with plastic promotional pens you easily get used to the look, feel and performance of these popular low cost business gifts.

Now, however, I can see what makes Cross pens much sought after promotional gift pens. Even the Stratford which is at the lower end of the Cross range writes spectacularly well.

Interruption to today's schedule

I am currently writing this text with the plastic pen I normally use. The writing line is much thicker and the pen is louder when I write with it.

Back to the Stratford Pen

Back to the Cross Stratford and the writing is much smoother and the line finer. You can hardly hear the pen as I write. It is also a nice weight. This metal gift pen is fantastic!

Promotional Engraved Cross Stratford pens are supplied in a Cross branded rectangular gift box. The presentation is what you would expect from such a well known brand. Inside the box is a cloth lined section where the pen can be securely placed and another side section which holds the Cross guarantee.

I open it to read the guarantee that states all Cross pens have a lifetime guarantee regardless of the age of the pen. Well I guess that is what lifetime is supposed to mean but it is nice to have the promise highlighted.

The guarantee also states that if the pen has any problems with any of its parts you can return it to Cross and they will fix the problem and return the pen to you free of charge. Now that is service.

As these gift pens are engraved, you want to keep your logo and/or engraved details in the line of site. That is, keep the message narrow and the engraving will look much better.

I can highly recommend the Cross Stratford pen as special corporate gifts. They would make excellent Christmas gifts for top clients and employees. Cross pens are also often used as employee incentives.

In the coming weeks I will be testing many top brand and generic gift pens. Do you know of a pen you would like me to test? Let me know by leaving a comment and I will do exactly that.
